About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Infrastructure Approvals and Planning Lead. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing commercial, economic, and strategic advice to facilitate the delivery of water infrastructure agreements, policy, and business planning for major developments in our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and influence the negotiating terms and conditions of water infrastructure agreements to mitigate financial risk while providing reasonable terms for timely progression of planned development.
  • Manage the development and delivery of Board papers and required documentation and advise of risks arising from development of land outside the current Unitywater Future Connections Area.
  • Contribute to the engineering and planning of required infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the business cases that underpin project investment, including the development of required financial modelling.
  • Assess and prepare submissions for future and existing Planning Schemes in respect of proposed or planned development and supporting in the processing of connection applications.
  • Liaise with developers and assist with the provision of responses and reports to State regulators.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of development management for large-scale infrastructure projects, and exposure to the water industry regulatory environment. You will also need to have strong interpersonal skills, including consultancy and negotiation, with a strong focus on internal and external stakeholder engagement.
