Mental Health Nurse Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in a primary health setting. The successful candidate will work closely with medical and allied health professionals to contribute to positive mental health outcomes for Defence Force personnel.
- Conduct intake assessments and risk assessments
- Provide crisis intervention and support
- Develop and implement case formulation and treatment plans
- Deliver programmatic treatment interventions
- Care coordinate and manage patient care
- Assist with medication management and administration
- Lead group psycho-education sessions
This is a casual role working Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. You will be working with a variety of patients who may require medication management or other interventions. As a Mental Health Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of your patients and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
Requirements- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with AHPRA
- Credentialed with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) or minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing; OR Mental Health trained nurse /United Kingdom trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Registered Nurse general registration experience within the previous 5 years in mental health in a primary health setting or specialist mental health setting
