About the Role: Procurement Business Partner
As a Procurement Business Partner, you will provide expert advice and support across procurement policy, planning, category management, and contract formation. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and managing procurement processes, offering high-level advice to stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with the Local Government Act and Council's Procurement Policy framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to drive value for money and sustainability outcomes
- Providing specialist advice on procurement policy, planning, and contract formation
- Coordinating and managing procurement processes, including tendering and contract management
- Ensuring compliance with probity requirements and governance frameworks
- Supporting the development of procurement systems and processes
About the Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or procurement, and have experience in procurement and contract management. You will have expertise in developing tender and contract documents, evaluating tender submissions, and ensuring compliance with probity requirements. Familiarity with the Local Government Act 2020, regional collaboration, and sustainability initiatives is desirable.
Requirements
- Proficiency in procurement systems and advanced skills in MS Office
- Experience in Oracle ERP and Open Windows an advantage
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
