About the Role: Procurement Business Partner
The Procurement Business Partner will provide strategic procurement advice and support across procurement policy, planning, category management, and contract formation. This role involves coordinating and managing procurement processes, offering high-level advice to stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with the Local Government Act and Council's Procurement Policy framework.

Key Responsibilities
Developing tendering and contract management documentation, supporting procurement systems, and driving value for money and sustainability outcomes. This position plays a key role in fostering collaborative procurement opportunities with other councils and government agencies. Additionally, the Procurement Business Partner will ensure governance and risk management, contribute to policy development, and facilitate procurement-related training for Council staff.

About the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or procurement, along with experience in procurement and contract management. They will have expertise in developing tender and contract documents, evaluating tender submissions, and ensuring compliance with probity requirements. Familiarity with the Local Government Act 2020, regional collaboration, and sustainability initiatives is desirable.

Requirements
Proficiency in procurement systems and advanced skills in MS Office are required, with experience in Oracle ERP and Open Windows an advantage. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and time management skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
