Service Excellence Ambassador

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Excellence Ambassador to join our team at Mercure Sydney Bankstown. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and wants to make a real difference in the lives of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Outstanding Service: Provide exceptional service to our guests from check-in to check-out, ensuring their every need is met with a smile.
  • Be the First Point of Contact: Often be the first point of contact for guests and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience that sets the tone for their stay.
  • Front Office Tasks: Complete a wide range of front office tasks, including selling hotel facilities, taking reservations, and maintaining guest accounts, ensuring that every day is different and engaging.
  • Provide Passionate Service: Deliver passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly service to both external and internal guests at all times, exceeding their expectations and building loyalty.
  • Communicate Effectively: Answer all telephone calls in a professional manner, following brand standards and guidelines.
  • Reconcile Cashier Floats: Reconcile cashier floats at the completion of each shift, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Loyalty Program: Brief guests on the features and benefits of our loyalty program, encouraging them to sign up and become loyal customers.
About You:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous Customer Service Experience: A strong background in customer service, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Opera, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure, multitask, and think on your feet to resolve issues effectively.
  • Flexibility: The flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including morning and evening shifts, to meet the needs of our guests.

Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
