About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Rosebrook Residential Aged Care Facility in Rosebud. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and safe for our residents.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Your duties will include hands-on repairs and maintenance, general maintenance such as painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves, and designing garden layouts. You will also be responsible for monitoring stock levels of consumables and reordering when necessary.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, contractors, and suppliers. You will be expected to respond promptly and professionally to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Conduct general maintenance such as painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves, and designing garden layouts
  • Monitor stock levels of consumables and reorder when necessary
  • Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment
  • A relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
  • A current valid driver's license
  • Evidence of Australian work rights
  • An NDIS worker screening (or willingness to obtain)
  • A 2024 flu vaccination (or willingness to obtain)
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations
  • A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
