The Department of Social Services is seeking a Technical and Compliance Information and Records Management Officer to join its team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the planning and implementation of moving the department towards a digital environment, providing technical support for the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS), and assisting with record searches for Royal Commissions and Freedom of Information requests.

This role involves working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities, deadlines and expectations. The ideal candidate will have a well-developed understanding of records management functions and processes, including business classification schemes, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Requirements include being an Australian citizen and passing a pre-employment screening process including identity and criminal history background check. The applicant must also obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Job Description:

Provide technical expertise in the management of electronic documents and records across the department.

Assist in the planning and implementation of digital solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

Support the development and maintenance of our Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
