Job Title: APS 5 - Information and Records Management Specialist
The role of an Information and Records Management Specialist involves managing and analysing complex information related to the Inspector General of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Afghanistan Inquiry. This includes ensuring that information is managed in accordance with the Defence Security Principles Framework, Freedom of Information Act 1982 and the National Security Information (Criminal and Civil Proceedings) Act 2004.
As a key member of the team, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including various groups and services, the Australian Geospatial Organisation, the Office of the Special Investigator, the Australian Signals Directorate, the Attorney-General's Department and the Australian Federal Police. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential to achieve deadlines.
The Afghanistan Inquiry Response Task Force (AIRTF) is responsible for leading Defence's response to the Afghanistan Inquiry. The task force has several key responsibilities, including supporting senior Defence leadership, coordinating strategic communication, developing and overseeing the Afghanistan Inquiry Reform Plan, providing legal coordination and coordinating access to Defence information related to legal and other consequences of the inquiry.
You will work independently, identifying and prioritising tasks to contribute effectively to team outcomes and deadlines.
