Job Opportunity:

The position of Investment Associate is available to support the financial aspects of a client's renewable energy business, including solar, wind, and storage sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive financial models for projects at various stages, from initial assessments to detailed project finance transactions.
  • Participate in offtake negotiations across the portfolio, preparing RfP and tender submissions based on thorough financial analysis of relevant client project sites.
  • Assist with project acquisition, sales, and financing processes by preparing pitch book presentations, due diligence reports, and other supporting documentation incorporating insights gained through cash flow analysis of renewable energy assets.
  • Lead the month-end reporting process by maintaining financial models used by clients in their capital budgeting. Collaborate with development managers to model cash management requirements and assist in preparing monthly shareholder reporting slide decks.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in renewable energy financial modeling, project finance, M&A, valuations, or similar fields.
  • Expertise in creating and reviewing complex project finance models and producing high-quality professional reports.
  • Familiarity with commercial knowledge within transaction execution, including origination, due diligence, and execution of offtake, equity, or debt financing contracts.
  • Experience working with infrastructure assets and project finance.
  • Working knowledge of VBA or other coding languages is an asset.
