The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Solotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our high standards of quality and consistency are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Develop and implement new menu concepts and recipes to drive business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with our events team to deliver bespoke catering solutions for corporate and social events
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to ensure profitability
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a full-time cook in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations, food trends, and menu planning
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
