About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Engineer to join our team at Infrastructure People. As a key technical expert, you will play a fundamental role in the Mechanical & Electrical installation phase of the Coffs Harbour Bypass project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in design & constructability reviews for assigned work packages, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Liaise with vendors and stakeholders to provide feedback and request information, driving design and implementation forward.
  • Develop and manage project programming, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Prepare and review systems functional design documentation, including interfaces and technical information.
  • Develop and review testing documentation, ensuring compliance with the V-Model.
  • Manage assurance of traceability requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to resolve issues and maximize productivity.
  • Lead commissioning of tunnel equipment & systems, ensuring smooth transition to operations.
  • Facilitate effective transition from construction to operations, ensuring seamless handover.
  • Identify and control risks to project quality, ensuring compliance with HSE and Quality requirements.
Requirements
  • Pro-active attitude and problem-solving skills, with great communication skills and ability to interface at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 4 years' experience in an engineering role on a major infrastructure project, with focus on Plant Management and Control Systems or Traffic Management and Control Systems for tunnel projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and TfNSW Scope of Works and Technical Criteria.
