About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Engineer to join our team at Infrastructure People. As a key technical expert, you will play a fundamental role in the Mechanical & Electrical installation phase of the Coffs Harbour Bypass project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in design & constructability reviews for assigned work packages.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors on aspects of the design, procurement, implementation, and construction.
  • Prepare timelines and ensure project programming and related deliverables are within budget and on schedule.
  • Develop, review, and update systems functional design documentation.
  • Develop, review, and update testing documentation for all testing phases.
  • Manage assurance of traceability requirements until project completion.
  • Work with vendors, sub-contractors, and constructors to coordinate work and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate and lead commissioning of tunnel equipment & systems.
  • Facilitate effective transition from highway and tunnel construction through to operations.
  • Identify, assess, and control risks to project quality of product.
  • Ensure active management and compliance with HSE and Quality requirements.
Requirements
  • Pro-active 'Can Do' attitude and ability to solve problems.
  • Great communication skills and ability to interface at all levels of the project organisation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • At least 4 years' experience in an engineering role on a major infrastructure project.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian Standards and TfNSW Scope of Works and Technical Criteria.
