Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support for deposit accounts, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.
  • Supervise, coach, and train Deposit Operations staff in Account Services.
  • Frequent contact with law enforcement, attorneys, Bank Officers, Bank Employees, and personnel from other banks by phone, email, and written correspondence.

Essential Functions:

  1. Research, document, and respond to subpoenas, garnishments, levies, and receiverships; work customer research requests; correct encoding and posting errors; perform check adjustments from Federal Reserve Bank and other financial institutions.
  2. Assist with document requests and research requests from auditors, compliance, and examiners.
  3. Maintain dormant account and check records, prepare notifications to customers and Bank personnel on items eligible for escheat, and log items into software for escheatment to the State.
  4. Research, process, and balance deposit account exception items; e.g., nonpost, return items, chargebacks, stop payments, positive pay returns, ACH disputes, and check disputes.
  5. Index and perform quality control on account documents saved in Synergy, including signature card review.
  6. Monitor customer and account maintenance using workflows to ensure proper Bank policies and procedures are followed.
  7. Review IRA and federal withholding transactions and assist with tax reporting processes.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
  9. Demonstrate strong attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, judgment, organization, and a high level of initiative and ownership.
  10. Assist Account Services in meeting work deadlines when colleagues or managers are out of office.
  11. Ensure accuracy of work to prevent substantial errors involving loss of time, money, and goodwill.
  12. Maintain average physical effort; require visual attention and mental concentration while using computer equipment for most of the workday.
  13. Participate actively in the Customer Service First culture, support organizational values, and follow established Bank policies and procedures.
