Logistics and Supply Chain Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our site-based logistics function as a Logistics Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehousing and transport performance, optimizing customer service levels, and reducing costs.
The role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of direct reports and indirect reports. The Logistics Operations Manager will work closely with the supply chain planning team to optimize stock movements and holdings across a multi-site distribution network.
The ideal candidate will have functional warehousing and transport leadership experience, ideally in a consumer goods manufacturing environment. They should also have experience leading a logistics or supply chain function servicing major grocery retailers and/or eCommerce platforms.
The successful candidate will be able to partner with 3PL partners to improve their performance and ensure seamless execution of logistics operations. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
- Manage site-based warehousing and transport performance to optimize customer service levels and reduce costs.
- Lead a small warehousing team responsible for receipting goods, storage, pick & pack, and loading in a 'safety first' environment.
- Partner with the supply chain planning team to optimize stock movements and holdings across a multi-site distribution network.
- Improve the performance of 3PL partners through effective collaboration and process improvement initiatives.
