Operations Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team in Cairns, QLD. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career within an iconic Australian business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Effective planning and coordination of works to ensure timely and budgetary objectives are achieved
- Collaboration with internal team members, locally and regionally, and external customers to ensure effective allocation of resources
- Review and optimise labour utilisation, plant and equipment maintenance and availability
- Coordination and management of subcontractors
- Coordination of business training
- Purchasing, payroll, job costing and other admin duties as required
- HSEQ support for the business
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience in a senior Administration, Scheduling or Coordination (or similar) role within a similar industry
- Purchasing, payroll and job costing experience will be highly regarded
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with contractors, clients and team members
- Heavy Vehicle and Chain of Responsibility knowledge (desirable)
- Excellent communication and practical project management skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Highly developed computer skills and the ability to learn new systems

The estimated salary for this role is AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
