Job Title: Head of Property

On Talent is partnering with Busy Bees Australia to recruit a Head of Property to lead their property management function.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Busy Bees Australia's facilities, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. As Head of Property, you will develop and execute forward-thinking property strategies that support the existing portfolio as well as future growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety, security, and compliance of the property portfolio through proactive maintenance programs, regular inspections, and effective contractor management.
  • Oversee the management, maintenance, and efficiency of a large portfolio of leased properties.
  • Lead the development of annual capital investment plans for major projects, prepare proposals, manage budgets, and oversee the execution of refurbishments and expansions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, contractors, and regulatory bodies representing the organisation in property-related discussions and negotiations.
  • Mentor and lead a team of property, project, and facilities management specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in property and/or facilities management, with senior management experience, preferably in highly regulated environments.
  • Proven track record in managing large property portfolios, capital investment projects, facilities management, and strong financial acumen.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and operational excellence.
  • Willingness to travel interstate regularly as required.
