About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our client's onsite team at a commercial and retail precinct. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and operational process support for the assets, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard of presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage asset issues and coordinate efficient and effective responses.
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure assets are kept to a high standard of presentation.
  • Tender service contracts as required, making recommendations and obtain relevant approvals to enter into contracts.
  • Assist to maintain an asset register of all plant and equipment.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
  • Supervise delivery of base building projects, renovations or refurbishments.
  • Develop and implement Sustainability initiatives and best practices.
  • Prepare operational and capital expenditure and operational budgets.
  • Coordinate tenancy de-fits and new lease fit-outs.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience in an operations and facilities role within a commercial property environment, and a sound understanding of compliance and risk. Technical qualifications would be desirable, coupled with exemplary people skills. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are also necessary.
