Job Overview
The Ministry of Justice seeks a seasoned Leasing Professional to manage its leased portfolio. The successful candidate will negotiate lease terms, manage rent reviews and renewals, maintain lease data, and build relationships with landlords, tenants, and internal stakeholders.

About the Role
This is a 12-month fixed term position within our Property Strategy and Planning team. You will contribute to financial oversight and play a key role in ensuring our leased assets are well-managed, compliant, and aligned with the Ministry's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage leased properties within the portfolio* Negotiate lease terms, manage rent reviews and renewals, maintain lease data, and build relationships with landlords, tenants, and internal stakeholders* Contribute to financial oversight* Ensure leased assets are well-managed, compliant, and aligned with the Ministry's strategic goals

Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualification with 2+ years' experience in commercial property management and leasing or equivalent experience* Proven ability to identify risks and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders throughout the lease lifecycle* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with a strategic approach to problem-solving and issue resolution* Demonstrated experience in managing client and tenant relationships* Strong background in lease negotiation, administration, and overall lease lifecycle management* Skilled in budget preparation and management, with the capability to conduct detailed financial analysis* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word* Experience in using Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) and SharePoint would be highly desirable
