The role:

This Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist position reports to the Safety Health & Wellbeing Manager - Supply Chain and is responsible for implementing National Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SH&W) strategies across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have strong governance background, ability to influence and work collaboratively with multiple site Leadership to ensure compliance with Self Insurance requirements, SH&W Management System standards, and regulatory/legislative requirements.

This role is based at our Dandenong Distribution Centre and covers the Southern region including VIC, SA, WA, and TAS.

Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and promote all occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Lead safety across multiple sites, prioritise key activity based on local risks/trends, and develop strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Implement Risk Management procedures to identify, assess, and control risks accurately.
  • Support local leadership teams on incident reporting and investigation, promoting accountability and corrective action completions/risk management.

What you'll bring:

  • 6+ years experience in a similar role within Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, or Warehousing business is preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-site regional role supporting sites remotely and with regular travel.
  • Solid technical knowledge in relation to OH&S legislation and standards.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and consultation/coaching skills.
  • Self-motivated leader with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety and Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
