Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Business Development Specialist to join our team at Wesfarmers Health.

We aim to create a safer workplace culture by implementing National Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SH&W) strategies and ensuring compliance with Self Insurance requirements, SH&W Management System standards, and regulatory/legislative requirements.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Safety, Health & Wellbeing Business Partner, reporting directly to the Safety Health & Wellbeing Manager - Supply Chain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing SH&W strategies across multiple sites, identifying local site trends, needs, and focuses, and working collaboratively with site Leadership to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety, Health & Wellbeing: Demonstrate and promote occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work, promoting safe behaviours through a risk-based approach.
  • SH&W Leadership: Lead safety across multiple sites, prioritise key activities based on local risks/trends, and develop and deliver strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Risk Management: Implement Risk Management procedures to identify, assess, and control risks, ensuring processes are embedded locally through training.
  • Incident Reporting and Investigation: Support and coach local leadership teams on incident investigations, maintaining accountability for corrective action completions/risk management.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role within Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, or Warehousing.
  • Experience in a multi-site regional role, supporting sites remotely and with regular travel.
  • Sound technical knowledge of OH&S legislation and standards.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and consultation/coaching skills.
  • A self-motivated leader with the ability to work autonomously.
  • A Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety and Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
