Our mission at InterContinental Hotel Brisbane is to provide exceptional guest experiences through personalized service and tailored support. As a Reservations Agent, you will be the key to unlocking memorable stays for our guests.

You will utilize our cutting-edge reservation system to efficiently input and update guest information, ensuring seamless booking confirmations and timely responses to inquiries. Your outstanding communication and customer service skills will shine through as you assist guests with travel arrangements, offering expert recommendations and assistance to enhance their stay.

Collaborating with other hotel departments, you will ensure seamless coordination of guest requests and preferences. With an in-depth knowledge of hotel amenities, room types, and pricing, you will effectively upsell and maximize revenue opportunities.

A day in the life of a Reservations Agent includes:

  • Utilizing our reservation system to accurately input and update guest information
  • Assisting guests with travel arrangements, including offering personalized recommendations and assistance to enhance their stay
  • Collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination of guest requests and preferences
  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of hotel amenities, room types, and pricing to effectively upsell and maximize revenue opportunities

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a reservations or customer service role is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to a dynamic hospitality environment
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Effective time management, well-organized and structured
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in Opera and Concerto preferred
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene
  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions
