Job Overview

The Fix Analyst plays a vital role in implementing, testing, and certifying FIX connections for clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high availability of FIX connections.
  • Work with clients, internal colleagues, and network vendors to provide service-related functions:
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in a 'Follow-the-Sun' support model
    • Configure and customize FIX connections
    • Test and certify FIX compatibility with brokers
    • Maintain and enhance FIX connections
  • Follow established procedures to deliver high-quality services to clients.
  • Ensure all FIX connection information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Elevate complex issues to senior staff for assistance.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to work in mission-critical operations and support environments.
  • Familiarity with Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN).
  • Able to partner with various departments to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Periodic off-hours support may be required.
  • Occasional travel to client sites for customization, testing, or troubleshooting may be necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Aptitude for technical problem-solving.
  • Experience with database software.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, information technology, engineering, or mathematics is required.
  • Three years of experience in the securities trading industry is preferred.
