Building Connections Practitioner

A unique opportunity awaits an enthusiastic professional to empower young people and their families through a trauma-informed initiative.

This role is centered around providing a safe environment and supporting adolescents to develop healthy relationships and connections with their families.

  • Deliver a contemporary coaching approach to case management utilizing the Advantaged Thinking model.
  • Collaborate with young people and their families to assess eligibility for the program and create behavior management, risk assessment, and safety plans.

Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of family violence impacts, particularly adolescent family violence.
  • Experience working effectively with adolescents presenting high-risk behaviors.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Advantaged Thinking model.
  • Valid Victorian driver's license, Working with Children Check, and Police Check.
  • Minimum requirement of Diploma of Community Services or other relevant qualifications.

Role Details

The Building Connections practitioner will be responsible for working closely with adolescents who use or are at risk of using violence, providing a safe environment and supporting them to build strong, positive connections with their families.

This role requires a demonstrated understanding of family violence impacts, particularly adolescent family violence, as well as experience working effectively with adolescents presenting high-risk behaviors.
