Melba Support Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Traralgon. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of our clients.
- Provide daily living support, including assistance with personal care, hygiene, and household duties.
- Accompany clients to social events, appointments, and activities, promoting their independence and autonomy.
- Administer medication and provide medical support as needed.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Passion for working with people with disabilities and a commitment to promoting their rights and dignity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality support services.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and unrestricted Australian Driver's License.
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR and evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
