Support Worker Job

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to join our team in the Beaudesert, Jimboomba, Canungra, and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who genuinely care about helping others and making a positive impact in their community.

Our ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or equivalent) and a minimum of one year of aged care experience. A background working with clients with dementia is preferred but not essential. We require the successful applicant to be available to work 3 days per week, including Tuesday or Thursday, from 7:30am - 4:30pm.

The role involves providing domestic assistance, assisting clients with personal care services, daily living activities such as meal preparation, transporting clients to appointments, and providing flexible respite both in-home and in-community settings. The Support Worker must also safely transport clients to and from appointments as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualised support to clients to achieve their health and wellbeing goals
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and transportation to appointments
  • Offering flexible respite options, including in-home and community-based services
  • Safely transporting clients to and from appointments as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or equivalent)
  • At least one year of aged care experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance and current roadworthy status
  • Australian driver's licence
  • Blue Card and NDIS Check or ability to obtain
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
