Job Title: Policy Leadership Expert

The successful candidate will take on a pivotal role as a Principal Policy Officer, supporting statewide change management and implementation of the Victorian Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework.

This involves strategic leadership of the MARAMIS Unit, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing finalisation and change management approach for the new MARAM Model of Alignment, and leading change management to implement new Guidelines for Family Violence Regional Integration Committees.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent change management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic policy skills to provide policy advice on behalf of Family Safety Victoria and lead a program of work including providing advice to stakeholders in implementing the reforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement with key partners across government and non-government sectors in relation to development and implementation of MARAM alignment policy, delivering key change management and implementation projects.
  • Lead Family Safety Victoria's strategic engagement with the Statewide Family Violence Integration Advisory Committee and Family Violence Regional Integration Committees, coordinating across functions and entities to drive effective local governance of the family violence system.
  • Support the Manager and play a key leadership role within the team by leading and supporting individuals to achieve their potential and contribution to organisational goals and outcomes, modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values and pro-actively building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work permit or visa.
  • An ability to exercise sound judgement and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent change management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic policy skills.
