Strategic Policy Expert

We are seeking a Strategic Policy Expert to join our team. As a key member of our engagement and relations team, you will support our colleges, campuses, and offices.
About the Role- You will analyze government policy impacts on our operations and objectives.
- You will assist in developing our government relations strategy.
- You will create advocacy plans for government relations campaigns.
- You will build and maintain relationships with government officials, peak bodies, and policy influencers.
- You will prepare submissions for government reviews and legislation, collaborating with stakeholders to shape our policy positions.
This position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, knowledge of the tertiary education sector, policies, and emerging trends. They must be able to advise senior leaders and develop strategic relationships.
Requirements- A relevant degree with substantial experience, or extensive experience and expertise in the tertiary education sector or complex regulatory environments.
- Knowledge of the Australian tertiary education sector, policies, and emerging trends.
- Experience in producing high-quality policy documents, briefings, and research.
- Proven ability to advise senior leaders and develop strategic relationships.
