Optimise Member Service Delivery

We are seeking a skilled professional to play a key role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our member service delivery.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to review and enhance our operational systems, ensuring that they are user-friendly and meet the needs of our busy newsrooms.

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of our dynamic website;
  • Designing and implementing processes to increase user engagement;
  • Integrating software and systems for seamless interaction with our member services.

You will work closely with journalists and publishers, producing high-quality digital content and being supported by a small team dedicated to increasing media diversity in the Australian news landscape.

About You

You are a detail-oriented individual who enjoys process-mapping, problem-solving, and presenting ideas to users. You bring a high level of attention to detail, imagination for innovation, and patience for testing and refining digital processes.

  • Previous experience in a similar role or related field;
  • Demonstrable skills in administrative systems, digital marketing, and relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience;
  • A proven ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.

You have hands-on experience with Wordpress, Microsoft Word, Excel, the Google Suite, and a range of plug-ins (PaidMembership Pro, Formidable) as well as CRM and task management systems (Hubspot, ClickUp, Zapier).

Key Responsibilities
  • Systems and Software Integration & Development;
  • Maintenance and tracking of Data & Member Records;
  • Technical Communication Support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • 1. Systems and Software Integration
    • Ensure our member services are supported by efficient and user-friendly systems;
    • Review and improve workflows supporting existing services to increase usability;
    • Design and implement systems for new services as they launch;
    • Manage member administration and payments via WordPress and relevant plugins;
    • Integrate Stripe and Zapier with our systems to manage automated payments and workflows;
    • Liaise with third-party support providers and internal staff to troubleshoot and enhance system performance.
  • 2. Data and Member Records
    • Maintain up-to-date member records and datasets using HubSpot CRM;
    • Track usage of member services and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders;
    • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of data capture, tagging, and reporting.
  • 3. Website and Digital Design
    • Maintain and update the back-end functions of our website;
    • Collaborate with the team to publish relevant content on the website;
    • Design templates and visual assets (e.g. annual reports, infographics) using Canva;
    • Ensure all digital content is accessible, visually engaging, and aligned with our brand.
  • 4. Technical Communications Support
    • Support the delivery of email newsletters and other digital communications, including contributing content as required;
    • Ensure consistent messaging aligned with our brand, mission, and values;
    • Promote us positively across all channels and touchpoints.
