Senior Environmental Performance Specialist

Job Opportunity:
A Senior Environmental Advisor is sought to oversee and drive environmental performance across our operational site, contributing to the delivery of high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement site-wide environmental objectives.
- Maintain and enhance the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Identify and mitigate environmental risks through effective control measures.
- Ensure timely completion of internal and external reporting requirements.
- Monitor compliance and lead preventative and corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice on environmental matters to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct incident investigations and support external reviews.
- Manage relationships with environmental contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Deliver comprehensive environmental training programs.
- Participate in audits, reviews, and assurance activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of coal mining experience - preferably in Queensland.
- A strong working knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance, and best practice management systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing environmental incidents, reporting, and corrective action processes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
