Electrical Estimator Role

This is a key position in our team, responsible for providing technical and design support for Hager standard and non-standard products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop & design switchboards as per clients specifications, AS/NZS61439-2016 assembly standards and quality requirements
  • Generate standard drawings of switchboards including general arrangement, single line diagram and bills of materials using AutoCAD
  • Working with and being part of the sales team, whilst adhering to Hager's principles, strategy, culture
  • Providing a high level of customer support, liaising closely with customers and sales team to give the best opportunity to achieve a successful sales result
  • Providing quotations for standard Hager 'off the shelf' products combined with 'bought-in' items and value-add components in an accurate and timely manner to customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Certifications in Electrical Design, Estimating, and Project Management (Advantageous)
  • 5+ years experience in estimating, design, and production of electrical switchboards
  • Expertise in electrical design principles and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PowerCAD, Streamgineer, and SAP
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical skills
