Transport Coordinator

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team in influencing efficient and safe operations at our Eastern Creek site.

This role is part of our Afternoon Shift team with the usual working hours being 2:00pm to 10:30pm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating and scheduling fleet in accordance with customer requirements, communicating and liaising with drivers and other stakeholders, maintaining data integrity including KPI entry, allocations and general administration, developing and maintaining relationships with all key stakeholders, reporting any hazard, near miss/hit, injury or incident immediately and assisting with any investigation when requested, and working to correct Load restraint standards and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in allocation role and knowledge of transport industry
  • Essential computer skills/transport system
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Enthusiastic, team player and has the 'Can Do' attitude
  • A strong focus on quality and safe work practices
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using Load Restraint and Chain of Responsibility policies and procedures
