Duty Manager Job Overview

The Sporting Globe Bar and Grill is a well-established sports bar and grill chain offering function, casual dining, and a large bar space with TAB facilities in Australia.

This key operational role will oversee all aspects of the venue, including restaurant and bar management. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless daily operations, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

  • Managing daily operations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting the Venue and Assistant Venue Manager in opening and closing procedures.
  • Oversight of Front-of-House (FOH) operational facets, including staff supervision and performance management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Adherence to and auditing of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and Food Hygiene procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities to boost sales and revenue while controlling costs.
  • Maintaining superior service quality to ensure delivery of outstanding guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in hospitality management.
  • Proven track record working in both bar and restaurant environments.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
