Operations Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our fleet and logistics teams.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar transport or logistics operation, strong people management and customer engagement skills, and demonstrated ability to manage fleet productivity and logistics KPIs.

A solid financial acumen is essential, as you'll be expected to manage budgets, analyse cost drivers, and contribute to strategic financial decisions that impact operational performance.

You will also be responsible for maintaining high service levels and customer satisfaction, driving productivity and profitability through innovative solutions, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage daily operations across fleet and logistics teams
    • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
    • Drive productivity and profitability through innovative solutions
    • Maintain high service levels and customer satisfaction
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance
    • Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Requirements:
    • Prior experience in a similar transport or logistics operation
    • Strong people management and customer engagement skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage fleet productivity and logistics KPIs
    • Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, or P&L management
    • Knowledge of fatigue management, load restraint, and mass management
    • Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S as well as experience in SAP, WMS & TMS systems
