Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Support Officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing timely and effective support to our users, ensuring their experience is enhanced and issues are resolved promptly.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. They will be responsible for providing first-level support for our desktop environment, business applications, internet, intranet, business software, and supported hardware.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the process mapping, documentation, and improvement of workflows for ICT support tools and automation platforms. Additionally, they will support the testing and implementation of ICT support tools and automation solutions, and provide in-person advice and support to enhance the user experience of unfamiliar technologies.

As a key member of our team, the Support Officer will be responsible for contributing to ongoing improvement in governance frameworks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge management assets. They will also support compliance alignment with ICT Strategy, Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture standards, and audit requirements.

  • Routinely, provide timely 1st Level support for QRA's desktop environment, business applications, Internet, intranet, business software and supported hardware, both in person and remotely (as required) using ITIL methodologies.
  • Contribute to the process mapping, documentation and improvement of workflows for ICT support tools and automation platforms.
  • Support the testing and implementation of ICT support tools and automation solutions.
  • Support the delivery of key ICT projects including migration to Microsoft 11.
  • Assist in the Coordination of monitoring and reporting of initiative progress, risks and outcomes.
  • Provide in person advice and support to enhance the user experience of unfamiliar technologies.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement in governance frameworks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge management assets.
  • Support compliance alignment with ICT Strategy, Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture standards, and audit requirements.
  • Support the team to deliver customer focused outcomes during times of crisis, surge or business continuity outages.
