About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Faith Leader to join our team as Principal of Our Lady of the Way School. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our school community and providing strategic direction to ensure the continued growth and development of our students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional leadership, with experience in determining and implementing evidence-based learning and teaching programs and school curricula. They will also have a demonstrated ability to foster a workplace that prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of all, including students, staff, and the broader community.

The successful candidate will be required to address the following key selection criteria:

  • Evidence of strong senior faith leadership, including being an active member in good standing of a Catholic Church community.
  • Demonstrated ability in instructional leadership, including determining and implementing evidence-based learning and teaching programs and school curricula.
  • Evidence of unwavering commitment to fostering a workplace that prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of all.
  • Displays a strong commitment to enrolment growth, financial stability, and risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrated understanding and enactment of legislative and systemic compliance requirements applicable to all Catholic schools.
  • Shows attributes of justice and compassion in setting high standards for self and others in the leadership of pastoral care and the provision of an engaging education.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills to enable team growth and development, championing innovation and improvement to support continuous learning.

The successful candidate will be required to submit a copy of their certified evidence of Victorian Institute of Teaching registration, academic qualifications, current resume, cover letter addressing the key selection criteria, and the names and contact details of three referees.
