We are seeking a highly experienced litigation lawyer to join our team as Principal Lawyer and Manager of Litigation and Redress. As a key member of our Legal Division, you will work closely with our management team to manage all litigated and non-litigated negligence claims brought against the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all litigated and non-litigated negligence claims, including personal injury and property damage claims, bullying and historical sexual abuse claims.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage the department's responses to requests for information about applications for Redress.
  • Work closely with our management team to ensure that all legal advice and services are provided in accordance with the department's values and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Strategic and highly experienced litigation lawyer with a sensitive and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication, project management and stakeholder management skills.
