Commercial Project Manager

The role of Commercial Project Manager is a high-impact position that requires exceptional financial and commercial expertise to deliver projects from start to finish.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to join our organisation and contribute to the success of our renewable energy projects.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support project goals, ensuring compliance with client contracts and maximising profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project finances effectively, maintaining accurate records of project financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate key supply and works subcontracts, obtaining internal approvals for any deviations from standard terms in accordance with UGL procurement policy.
Key Responsibilities:

Regular briefings and analyses of complex legal, technical, and commercial bid and contract issues for non-specialist audiences and executives.

Governance oversight of client contracts to ensure compliance and maximise project profitability.

Provide strategic commercial advice to support project delivery.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or Law.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in Renewable Energy (Solar/BESS/Wind), Utilities, or EPC industries.
  • Significant strategic commercial experience in a hard dollar or lump sum environment, preferably within large construction and engineering companies.
  • Strong understanding of project finance and contract management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
