Job Title: Disability Support Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing and transferring clients as needed
  • Assist with domestic duties, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Support clients with physical disabilities, including the use of equipment and hoisting
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively as part of a care team to ensure comprehensive support is provided to clients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience working in disability support or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Full driver's licence and willingness to provide transport for clients when required
  • Basic first aid certification
