A day in the life of a Community and Recreation Disability Support Worker at Yooralla Supporting clients towards their goals, engaging in recreation and social activities, shopping, appointments, and events.
Assisting with daily living and personal care needs, including meal preparation, hygiene, and mobility.We seek passionate individuals with a positive attitude, initiative, and eagerness to learn.
You should share Yooralla's values and demonstrate:A positive approach, self-motivation, and initiativeCommitment to empowering clients and upholding quality and safety standardsEffective communication skills and good English literacyAbility to work collaboratively in a diverse teamWillingness to support personal care activitiesAustralian Driver LicenceRight to work in AustraliaAbility to obtain First Aid and CPR certificates if not already heldA Certificate IV in Disability, relevant experience, or interest in community services is preferred, but not mandatory.
Yooralla provides training and support, including opportunities to work and study concurrently.
