Job Description

The Senior Claims Advisor will play a key role in managing and resolving complex liability claims across the Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) region. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a commitment to achieving optimal outcomes for both Zurich and our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of complex liability claims, including public liability, product liability, and professional indemnity claims.
  • Investigate, assess, and determine liability and quantum in accordance with Zurich's policies and procedures.
  • Drive effective claim resolutions through proactive negotiation, mediation, and settlement strategies.
Technical Expertise:
  • Provide technical advice and support to the broader claims team and other business units as required.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel, investigators, and other experts to achieve favorable claim outcomes.
  • Stay informed on legislative and regulatory changes impacting liability claims management in ANZ.
Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Mentor and support junior claims advisors, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capability.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Zurich's claims processes and systems.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Insurance, Business, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of liability insurance, including legal principles, policy interpretation, and claims resolution strategies.
  • Sound knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to liability insurance in ANZ.
