
Human Resources Leader

The Senior Officer, Human Resources is responsible for performing duties across a broad range of human resource functions.
About the RoleThis role involves working with complex people matters as well as HR departmental policies and procedures. This requires maintaining a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Key Duties:
- Providing accurate and specialised HR advice on complex people matters.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of HR projects, policies, processes, guidance material, key business improvements and strategies.
- Make decisions and communicate effectively, using sound judgement and expertise.
- Manage payroll variation submissions and trial pay processing.
- Administer recruitment activities, including placing job ads, responding to job applicants, supporting selection panels and arranging new starter paperwork.
- Undertake staff inductions and coordinate other new starter processes as required.
- Review and update HR policies in line with legislation changes, best practice and business improvements.
- Manage status reports for HR, and for other reporting requirements as requested.
- Contribute to annual work plan deliverables, projects, and the continuous improvement of business processes.
- Assist with the management of outsourced service provider arrangements.
- Assist with the provision of human resource reports.
- Assist with leave audits and other compliance functions as required.
- Participate as a constructive member of the team and provide reasonable support with wider branch functions.
Requirements:
- Broad knowledge of human resources and employment law.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
