About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join their enthusiastic and passionate allied health team in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in identifying and implementing evidence-based intervention approaches and strategies that are holistic, client-centred, and outcome-driven.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments to inform intervention approaches
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce restrictive practices
  • Develop and implement behaviour support plans in line with Disability Services Standards, Child Safety, NDIS, and other relevant legislative requirements
  • Utilise a range of assessment tools and techniques to support clients and stakeholders
  • Advocate for clients, carers, and families to enable choice and decision-making that supports independence and quality of life

Selection Criteria
  • Current National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current driver's license - valid within Australia
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, social work, occupational therapy, applied behaviour analysis, disability, health)
  • Registration as a Proficient (or above) Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
  • Up-to-date Immunisation History
  • Access to your vehicle with employment-related travel reimbursement provided
