About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join TasWater as a Learning and Development Manager, where you will play a key role in transforming the way we approach learning and development within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic learning approach aligned with business needs and learner aspirations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of capability frameworks and associated curriculum for professional and operational roles.
  • Manage compliance and safety training, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of engaging learning programs that leverage contemporary learning methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities to utilize e-learning technology to deliver programs and lead the design and implementation of a new enterprise Learning Management System.
  • Provide strategic direction and coaching to a learning and development team to ensure the delivery of effective learning and development programs.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of leading and transforming a learning function.
  • Experience defining the strategic direction for the learning and development function with a focus on technical and compliance training.
  • Expertise in leading the design and implementation of professional development and operational capability frameworks, and associated curriculum.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment and demonstrated experience satisfying statutory training requirements.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of learning management systems and technology-driven learning solutions.
  • Proven leadership inspiring and motivating teams to achieve desired outcomes within large, regulated organizations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport and attracts a salary of circa $190,000 (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
