Auxiliary Firefighter Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated team as a Auxiliary Firefighter. Your primary role will be to respond to fire and other emergency incidents in a safe and efficient manner, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness. You will also develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through educational activities and initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance your skills through participation in regular drills and relevant training courses.
  • Meet attendance requirements for emergency incidents and training sessions.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Australian permanent resident status.
  • Holding a manual C Class driver's licence.
  • Employer consent to attend emergency incidents (where applicable).
  • Residency within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station.
