Job Title: Staff Specialist
About the Opportunity:
You will work in one of Queensland's largest and busiest emergency departments, providing exceptional care for over 100,000 patients annually.
Across adult and paediatric zones, the short stay unit, and aeromedical retrieval coordination for North Queensland, you'll make a meaningful impact.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert clinical care across a mixed adult and paediatric ED.
- Provide consultation and advice to patients, families, and colleagues.
- Engage in outreach through the Frailty Intervention Team.
- Lead and contribute to quality improvement, peer review, and audit.
- Maintain CPD and work within your awarded Scope of Clinical Practice.
About You:
- Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent.
- Possession of a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a registered tertiary institution.
- Current registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA to practise emergency medicine.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in both paediatric and adult Emergency Medicine.
