
Midwifery Talent Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Midwifery Talent Development Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the career development of newly qualified and international midwives, as well as new staff members.
The role involves coordinating orientation programmes, implementing additional support plans as needed, and providing leadership for all members of the Midwifery and Non-Midwifery team.
This is a part-time position, requiring 18.75 hours per week until September 2026. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be up-to-date with preceptorship programme of support and education, understanding assessment process for post-registration practitioners.
- Work closely with senior staff and assessors to provide robust induction and orientation to placement areas.
- Collaborate with Head of Education: Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals and Clinical Education Support Team to ensure consistency in post-registration education across the trust.
- Contribute to development of policies and guidelines applicable to placements of post-registration preceptor practitioners and B5 RNs working within maternity.
- Provide leadership for all members of the Midwifery and Non-Midwifery team, acting as role model and promoting appropriate midwifery care.
