**About the role
The Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) is a registered nurse/midwife who provides excellence in leadership, management and clinical service coordination of the Maternity and Gynaecology services team. The Midwifery Unit Manager works in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide patient and family centred, quality, safe care in an acute setting.
About you
- Demonstrated management experience and capability with an ability and commitment to practice collaboratively within the unit and the broader multidisciplinary health care team to deliver high quality care.
- Demonstrated advanced and effective communication, relationship development and maintenance and change management skills.
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum 3 years relevant midwifery experience at an advanced level at full time or full time equivalent (FTE).
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
