As a highly skilled Building Surveyor/Certifier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of complex class 2-9 buildings. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of the construction industry.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of planning Act processes for certification in Queensland, as well as excellent interpersonal, written communication and problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for proactively managing the compliance process, working effectively within a busy team environment and promoting this critical role in the industry.

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • A minimum 3-5 year's Commercial Experience as a Building Regulation Consultant or Accredited Certifier in either the Local Government or private sector
  • Demonstrated experience in certification work for a variety of class 2-9 building projects
  • Extensive experience with all aspects of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work within a highly motivated team of consultants
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with AIBS
  • Computer and keyboard skills with knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Open Driver's Licence
