Job Title: Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Compliance Specialist to play a vital role in assessing blue card applications under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.

About the Role:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and draft clear, evidence-based recommendations for blue card applications.
  • Liaise with applicants and stakeholders, gathering and recording critical information to inform decision-making.
  • Provide expert legal advice to internal and external stakeholders on compliance matters.
  • Manage case files efficiently and contribute to a high-performing team that upholds our values of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation, including the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
  • Maintain strong analytical and decision-making skills to ensure accurate and effective compliance outcomes.
  • Draft clear and concise legal documents and reports to support compliance efforts.
  • Work independently and make informed decisions to drive compliance success.
Requirements:
  • Hold a university degree in Law, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Have a proven track record of working in a compliance-related field.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
