About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vintage Winemaker Assistant to join our team at the Berri Estates Winery, the largest grape processing winery in the Southern Hemisphere.

As a Vintage Winemaker Assistant, you will play a critical role in overseeing the 24-hour wine making operations during the vintage period.

Key Responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Helping to oversee the 24-hour wine making operations during the vintage period
  • Ensuring that varieties are processed according to agreed specifications
  • Assisting winemakers with wine storage management
  • Conducting product trials as specified
What You'll Bring:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Full working rights
  • A passion for wine and winemaking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and energy
  • A tertiary qualification in winemaking or a related science
  • Minimum one prior vintage experience

Previous large-scale 24-hour operation winery experience is desirable.
